TURIN - Last Sunday was signed a Memorandum of Understanding between UNPLI, the Royal Road of Wines and the Province of Turin, to promote the production of DOC wine area.
The signing of the protocol has been part of the "Countries in the city - Pro Loco Party", organized by the provincial committee dell'Unpli (National Union of Pro site of Italy) and the Province, under the patronage of the Regione Piemonte, Turin City and the Chamber of Commerce. Saturday and Sunday between bands, parades and historical groups, 73 have set out in the Pro Loco stand the cultural and gastronomic products of their countries.
The protocol, signed in a panel discussion at the Giardini Reali, provides for the promotion of wines from the province through the use of short chain, ie the direct relationship between producer and consumer. The Province, the Royal Road of the wines Turin Association (composed of producers, tour operators, government agencies and consortia) and the Consortium to ensure Doc Pro Loco discount on wines purchased directly from producers associated with the consortia. In turn, explained the commissioner of agriculture Province Balagna Marco, "The Provincial Committee of Turin dell'Unpli Piedmont is committed to raise awareness at the Pro Loco members, so that during the events that the Pro Loco same organization may have the DOC wines of the region. " The project therefore encourages the dissemination and understanding of the local fine wines, which in turn will enrich the events of the Pro Loco.
The Susa Valley is home to one of the four associations for the protection of the DOC wines of the province of Turin. The consortium has joined the Royal Road of Wine, in its route that Susa has eight goals to taste the local wines, among firms e punti vendita (che si trovano elencati su www.stradarealevinitorinesi.it).
